Section 1031 Accommodations (1031 Exchange)
Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code allows a taxpayer to defer capital gains
on the sale of property held for investment or used in business by exchanging for
other "like kind" property. Alliance Title & Escrow Corp. can assist you in
locating a qualified intermediary or coordinate with your accommodator who holds
the sales proceeds and uses them to purchase new investment property. Within the
rules and time limits set forth in the code, the dollars that would have paid capital
gains taxes can be invested into the new property, increasing the investors buying
power.
