Branch Spotlight – Pocatello
Our next community spotlight is the 5th largest city in Idaho and home to Idaho State University. Let’s hear it for Pocatello!
Pocatello has so much to offer including all kinds of outdoor recreation, Zoo Idaho, Palace Playhouse Theatre and many museums that encompass the area’s rich history. Pocatello was originally known as the “Gateway to the Northwest” because pioneers would pass through south of town along the Oregon Trail. The town was founded in 1889 and named after The Indian Chief of the Shoshone tribe after he granted the railroad right-of-way through the Fort Hall Indian Reservation in the surrounding area of Pocatello. Academy of Idaho was founded in 1901 which has evolved into what is now Idaho State University (ISU).
Down the street from the ISU campus, you will find our Alliance Title branch in Pocatello. This team brings a combined 115 years of experience and is ready to help you with any title and escrow need! Lisa Armijo, Business Development Representative at the Pocatello office, says, “Our team has stuck together for many years. We care about each other, as well as our customers.” She says the relationships they create with customers set them apart from the competition. Lisa explains, “Our customers rely on our team members to help them through difficult transactions. There are times when we aren’t even handling the file, a customer will come to us to ensure the transaction is being handled correctly.”
“Our branch is very involved in the community,” Lisa says, “We serve on several committees of the Greater Pocatello Association of Realtors and NeighborWorks, which provides home buyer assistance services.” She also adds Chamber of Commerce committees, Rotary club committees and board, Bannock Corp board, Junior Achievement of Idaho board, several Greenway and beautification committees, and Idaho Food Bank to the list of organizations they enjoy being involved with in their community. The Pocatello team has been recognized in many different ways including a team member recently being awarded The Distinguished Citizen Award. They have received the Greater Pocatello Association of Realtors Affiliate of the Year award multiple times and recognition as a Black Belt Volunteer for the community.
Outside of the office, the Alliance Title Pocatello team loves the great outdoors. Hiking, gardening, riding ATV’s, and golfing are some of their favorite activities. When they are not outdoors, they like to read or do puzzles. They are big travelers and spend a lot of time following their children’s or grandchildren’s interests and sports. Lisa also mentions that, “Curtice Smith, Vice President and East Regional Title Manager, has a hidden talent of making jewelry.”
The Pocatello team loves that their customers become friends. “We have mutual respect for one another and know that we will look out for each other’s best interest,” Lisa says. Whether you’re buying or selling commercial or residential property in Bannock County, the professionals at Alliance Title’s Pocatello location would be delighted to help make your next transaction a success!
